Ceramic Coating for Mount Dora Vehicles

Diamond Auto Spa is based in Eustis, just minutes from Mount Dora, which means fast availability and no travel delay on your appointment. Andrew arrives at your Mount Dora location fully equipped. No drop-off, no shop visit, no coordinating a ride.

Mount Dora vehicles face a particular combination of environmental stressors that make ceramic coating one of the most practical investments available. The canopy streets around downtown and the historic neighborhoods near Donnelly Street and Clayton Street deposit tree sap and pollen onto paint constantly, both of which bond to unprotected clear coat and require aggressive removal. The proximity to Lake Dora and Lake Gertrude keeps ambient humidity elevated, which accelerates oxidation on vehicles that sit outdoors. Year-round UV degrades unprotected paint faster than most owners realize.

A ceramic coating addresses all three. The hardened SiO2 layer repels water, sap, and pollen more effectively than wax or sealant. It resists UV degradation at the surface level. And it does all of this for years rather than weeks. For a vehicle parked in Mount Dora's environment, the practical difference in how easy the car is to maintain week to week is immediately noticeable.

What's Included

Full Decontamination Wash

Hand wash, iron remover, and clay bar on all painted surfaces. All bonded surface contamination removed before any correction or coating work begins.

Paint Correction

At minimum a single-stage machine polish to remove swirl marks and light defects. Ceramic coating locks in whatever the paint looks like at time of application. Correction is not optional.

IPA Panel Wipe

All panels wiped with isopropyl alcohol after polishing to remove polish oils and residue. Coating will not bond correctly to paint that has not been fully stripped of surface oils.

Ceramic Coating Application

Professional-grade SiO2 ceramic coating applied panel by panel using applicator blocks and suede cloth. Each panel leveled before moving to the next.

Cure Period Guidance

Andrew walks you through the cure requirements before leaving. Typically 24 hours before moisture exposure and 7 to 14 days before a full wash. Following the cure protocol determines how long the coating holds.

Maintenance Instructions

Guidance on how to wash a coated vehicle to maximize coating life. Simple adjustments to your wash routine make a significant difference in how long the coating performs.

Our Process

1

Paint Assessment

Andrew inspects the paint under proper lighting to identify the level of correction needed. Sets the time expectation for the job before any work begins.

2

Full Decontamination

Hand wash, iron remover, and clay bar on all painted surfaces. No coating can bond correctly to contaminated paint. This stage cannot be skipped.

3

Paint Correction

Machine polish to remove swirl marks, water etching, and oxidation. Level of correction matched to paint condition. The coating preserves whatever the paint looks like underneath it.

4

IPA Wipe Down

All painted panels wiped with isopropyl alcohol to remove any remaining polish oils. Paint inspected one final time under lighting before coating begins.

5

Ceramic Coating Application

Coating applied panel by panel. Each section worked in small areas, allowed to flash, then leveled with a clean suede cloth. No panel is rushed.

6

Final Inspection and Cure Briefing

Vehicle inspected under lighting for any high spots or missed areas. Cure instructions reviewed with you before Andrew leaves.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Mount Dora vehicles that have been sitting unprotected through Florida seasons accumulate a surprising amount of bonded contamination before a ceramic coating appointment. The decontamination process alone — iron remover reacting with embedded brake dust, clay bar pulling up sap and pollen residue — often produces visible results before polishing even begins. The coating that goes on afterward is what keeps the paint in that condition long-term and makes every wash easier for years to come.

Typically 2 to 5 years depending on the product tier and how the vehicle is maintained. Florida's UV makes the coating work harder than in most states, but a quality product applied correctly holds up well with basic maintenance washes.
Yes. Ceramic coating locks in whatever condition the paint is in at time of application. Swirl marks and defects present before coating will be visible and permanent underneath it. At minimum a single-stage polish is required before any coating goes on.
Yes. Mount Dora's canopy streets, lake humidity, and year-round UV create conditions where unprotected paint degrades noticeably faster than inland areas with no tree cover. Ceramic coating repels sap and pollen before they can bond, resists water spotting from lake moisture, and holds up against UV for years.
